ZEISS Joins Microsoft For Data-Driven Healthcare

ZEISSFor better patient care through data-driven healthcare and enhance quality and efficiency in manufacturing, a German manufacturer of optical systems and optoelectronics and Microsoft inked a multiyear strategic partnership, by approving a cloud-first approach.

ZEISS, with standardization of its equipment and process on Microsoft Azure, its preferred cloud platform, will be providing the customers with enhanced digital experience and address changing market requisites more quickly and augment the productivity.

Dr. Karl Lamprecht, President & CEO, ZEISS, said, “We are proud to join forces with Microsoft in our quest to apply precision optics, IoT capabilities, artificial intelligence and machine learning to the most demanding processes in healthcare and manufacturing.”

ZEISS, leveraging Azure high-performance compute, AI and IoT services, will work with Microsoft for providing original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with latest quality management solutions.

This enables microchip manufacturers for developing more powerful, energy-sustaining microchips. It will be delivered to new digital healthcare solutions for improved clinical workflows, enhanced treatments and device maintenance.

Moreover, ZEISS will be creating a seamless experience for the customers through one digital platform and will be managing all digital ZEISS products under one cloud-native platform for enhancing continuous and agile product development.
