Wipro has allied itself with Intel’s Xeon Scalable processers to launch three edge AI starter solutions which is believed to trigger AI adoption for spaces, such as, enterprises in the Energy/Utilities and Healthcare. Leveraging Intel’s AI technology to maximize performance of the AI solutions, Wipro along with an ecosystem of industries leading independent software vendors (ISVs), system integrators (SIs), original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and enterprise end users, is accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence across Intel platforms.

Three Edge AI Starter Solutions - Pipe Sleuth solution, Surface Crack Detection and Medical Imaging

Wipro have launched three Edge AI Starter Solutions, i.e.  Pipe Sleuth solution - providing a complete automated anomaly detection which removes the need for manual review and coding of video scans of utilities pipeline infrastructure. Furthermore, in accordance to NASSCO PACP standard, AI automatically process video scans and identify, grade and score the overall pipe segment, enabling a comprehensive inspection report. Surface Crack Detection - aiding in detecting and labeling cracks in infrastructure like buildings, roads, pavement, and bridges with the use of AI. Medical Imaging – a customizable solution as per customer’s requirements, identify regions of interest and label abnormalities in medical X-Rays and CT scans using  Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Pipe Sleuth will be an add-on benefit to the existing Intel-based platforms which will significantly increase inspection productivity and reduce costs, enabling the overall defect detection rate, according to Tom Kuczynski, vice president, Information Technology, DC Water.
