Twilio & ValueFirst shakes hands to improve Indian customer engagement platform

TwilioOn Wednesday Twilio, cloud communication platform, states, it has acquired ValueFirst, one of India's leading Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) player, for an unrevealed sum.

ValueFirst connects businesses with consumers over telecom (SMS and voice) and Internet (chatbots, email and over-the-top) channels.

In the last economic year, ValueFirst processed over 42 billion SMS messages and that was one of India's largest messaging aggregators and CPaaS - Communications Platform as a Service players.
 

San Francisco headquartered Twilio aims to value from ValueFirst's customers, market to know-how and product assistances, to further scale their operations.

India is a significant market for Twilio and their customers. The country is experiencing momentous growth and presents a number of opportunities in the areas of messaging, conversational Artifical Intelligence and marketing technology.
