Sodexo, the leader in employee motivation & benefits services, today announced an innovative solution in partnership with Grofers. The company has launched an IVR-based payment solution that will enable users of Sodexo Meal cards to pay for groceries and other food items on delivery, at their doorstep. Grofers already accepts Sodexo vouchers on delivery, and this will enable digital acceptance as well.

With the increasing demand on time of today’s workforce, home delivery of food and groceries is increasingly becoming very popular. Sodexo has 3 million daily consumers who use the meal benefit to purchase food and non-alcoholic beverages. As more & more companies migrate from vouchers to cards, such innovative solutions will be in great demand wherein the need for cash is further minimized.

When the consumer opts to pay by the Sodexo Meal card on delivery, all she needs to do is dial the IVR, enter card details and make the payment in a fast, safe & simple manner. As an introductory offer, first-time users on Grofers can avail up to 20% cashback on their order.

“Sodexo is the preferred Employee Benefits partner for 11,000+ organizations in India since the last 20 years. The company has acceptance across 1500 cities of India including hundreds of small towns. This partnership with Grofers will help our 3 million daily users to buy food and non- alcoholic beverages with complete security and also enable hassle-free ordering.” explained Stephane Michelin, CEO, Sodexo BRS India.

Albinder Dhindsa, Co-founder at Grofers, says “Sodexo and Grofers have immense synergies catering to a similar audience. Meal vouchers from Sodexo are already a part of 2% of our total orders per month. This partnership will help us get new customers onboard for both the businesses."
