Shopify lists Oracle & Microsoft for Biz Tools on app

imgShopify Inc, an Canadian ecommerce platform is collaborating with top cloud companies that include Microsoft Corp. and Oracle Corp. to aid merchants streamline their business operations

Business owners on the platform could now access Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Oracle NetSuite and Infor on the Shopify app.

Previously, they had to rely on third-party applications to connect to Shopify their ERP tools ranging from financial trackers to inventory management systems.

Shopify provides infrastructure for retailers to set up their stores online, and generates revenue mainly through subscriptions and merchant services.

The partnerships would aid Shopify double down on its fast-growing merchant businesses and let Microsoft and Oracle strengthen their hold on a cloud market dominated by Amazon.com Inc's AWS platform.

Shopify Inc. is a Canadian multinational e-commerce company headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario. It is also the name of its proprietary e-commerce platform for online stores and retail point-of-sale systems. The Shopify platform offers online retailers a suite of services including payments, marketing, shipping and customer engagement tools. The company reported that it had more than 1,700,000 businesses in approximately 175 countries using its platform as of May 2021.
