Reach for the Clouds, Inc. – a US-based enterprise software solutions and consulting firm, specializing in delivering technology via the cloud – has signed a reseller agreement with global Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics software vendor, Yellowfin.

Under the terms of the agreement, the New Hampshire-based cloud specialist will offer Yellowfin’s business-user-oriented BI solution, and associated suite of professional services, to its current and future customers throughout the US.

Reach for the Clouds, Inc. will deliver Yellowfin to its clients as a standalone BI tool via cloud-based deployment. Additionally, Reach for the Clouds will also offer Yellowfin as a fully managed and hostedSoftware as a Service (SaaS) solution via Microsoft Azure, where it can also be bundled with a virtual SQL Server database as a complete Platform as a Service (PaaS) business analytics solution.

Reach for the Clouds Founder and CEO, Robert Peters, said Yellowfin’s ease-of-use and flexible cloud-enabled deployment options were crucial factors that underpinned the partnership decision.

“Reach for the Clouds’ clients benefit from our ability to deliver a range of best-of-breed enterprise solutions, at drastically reduced total cost of ownership, via the cloud,” said Peters. “To satisfy growing client demand for Business Intelligence capabilities, we knew we had to partner with a BI solution that was designed from the ground-up for easy cloud deployment. With its flexible subscription licensing model, multi-tenant capabilities, extreme scalability, and 100 percent Web-based architecture, Yellowfin easily met our business needs and the expectations of our clients.”

Peters said that Yellowfin’s Collaborative BI capabilities and ease-of-use for business users also matched Reach for the Clouds’ technology philosophy.

“Reach for the Clouds focuses on delivering modern business solutions in the cloud that are innovative and proactive, connecting organizations with their people and their ecosystem,” said Peters. “We wanted modern BI software that enabled end-users to independently access, share and act on data-based insights.

We found that BI technology partner in Yellowfin.

“Collaboration is critical for connecting the right people with the right insights, as well as providing context that assists information comprehension. For example, it’s a known fact that when people hear information, they are likely to only remember 10 percent of it three days later. However, if a relevant visual aid is paired with that same information, people will retain 65 percent of it over the same time span. For that reason, we found Yellowfin’s Storyboard feature – a fully interactive and integrated PowerPoint-like presentation module – particularly compelling.”

Yellowfin North American Sales Director, Shane Harris, said that Reach for the Clouds’ approach to delivering world-class software solutions via the cloud matched Yellowfin’s market approach.

“Reach for the Clouds has extensive experience in using the cloud to make enterprise technology highly flexible and scalable – both technologically and financially,” said Harris. “Yellowfin’s goal is to make Business Intelligence as pervasive as possible by empowering business users throughout the enterprise to harness reporting and analytics. The accessibility of the cloud plays an important role in enabling that vision.

“The Reach for the Clouds – Yellowfin partnership will assist us to increase our market share and win new clients by offering business-user-oriented BI, at a highly accessible price point via the cloud, to organizations of all sizes throughout the US. Reach for the Clouds is an exciting addition to our growing channel network in North America.”
