Qualcomm Announces Snapdragon 750G Chip With 5G Connectivity

qualcomm750GThe globally renowned chipmaker, Qualcomm, announced the Snapdragon 750G 5G Mobile Platform. The mobile platform will enable global 5G connectivity with HDR gaming and on-device AI. Allowing smooth, low-latency gameplay with enhanced entertainment quality, Snapdragon 750G offers select Qualcomm Elite Gaming features.

Kedar Kondap, Vice President – Product Management, Qualcomm Technologies, said in a statement, “As we continue to build out this relatively new tier of our mobile roadmap, we're always looking for ways to support the growing needs of our OEM customers. Snapdragon 750G delivers a selection of premium mobile features to an even wider audience.”

Snapdragon’s 750G 5G mobile platform is equipped with Qualcomm Adreno 619 GPU, which will enable up to 10 percent effective and enchanting graphics than the previous version of Snapdragon 730G. It can be used for amazing real-life imagery.

The other features include smart camera and video operations, voice translation, advanced AI-based imaging, and AI-enhanced gaming experience. The technologies will be powered by the latest 5th generation Qualcomm AI Engine. Qualcomm AI Engine stated that it features Qualcomm Kryo 570 CPU with almost 4.0 Trillion Operations per second (TOPS).

Snapdragon 750G further includes always-on Qualcomm Sensing Hub in a combination with multiple data streams for contextual use cases. It has a low-power Qualcomm AI Engine which enables AI-based echo cancellation and background noise suppression, delivering augmented voice-chat gaming experience, uninterrupted voice communication, and always-on voice assistants.

Expected to be launched in devices by the end of 2020, Xiaomi confirmed that Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G will be first installed on smartphones.
