On The 74th Independence Day, Indian Technology Sector Pitched To Grow BetterDifferent from the previous years’ celebration, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the 74th Independence Day, will however not be devoid of any patriotic spirit, or remembering the sacrifice made by our freedom fighters. Not far behind is the IT (Information Technology) sector. With a major portion of the workforce working from home, the sector remains head-high, hoisting the tri-color flag, making promises for a better tomorrow.

What have we witnessed after 1947? Well, a lot! India expanded the perimeter of technology development, starting from the introduction of All India Radio (later it became Akashvani in 1957) to television broadcast in 1965.

In recent times, the Indian Space Research Organization introduced Mangalyaan (Mars Orbiter Mission). It’s the first interplanetary mission adopted by India, making ISRO the fourth space agency to reach Mars.

Tapping the Information Technology sector, India made progress in the late 1960s and saw the inception of Tata Consultancy Services in 1977.

Then onwards, it has been uphill climbing for the Information Technology Sector. The cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Chennai, and Pune becoming the IT lands, granting long-term and short-term IT services.

For the further development of IT sector, on this Independence Day, Indian IT leaders are changing the industry for better.

Upcoming technologies like Hyper Automation, Autonomous Driving, Data Policing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotic Process Automation, Blockchain, Voice Search, and Analytics will drive the technology market.

For example, Hyper Automation, an amalgamation of multiple Machine Learning (ML), packaged software, and automation tools that simply work process. The Hyper Automation technology has the ability to combine automation mechanisms for replicating human tasks. It is predicted that the market will grow.

Yet another technology – Driver free driving or market termed as ‘Autonomous Driving’ technology will be implemented on driving functions like automated braking, lane-changing, and automation of vehicle sirens, horns and voice start through streamlining and guidance of data capturing and analytics. With laws implementation to take place in the future for autonomous driving after thorough investigation by legislators, regulators, and authorities, there are still amendments needed in the underlined infrastructure, and social attributes.

Human augmentation is another evolving technology with which it will enhance the physical endurance of a person, make the person better thinker and decider. It will strengthen the person’s physical and cognitive ability and give person the ability to execute tasks once impossible. Armed forces of many countries are implementing human augmentation in soldiers secretly.

Technologies like cryptocurrency is another upcoming technology which is presently not compliant with the privacy laws. Inclusion of personal data in public blockchains is a serious concern. For solving this, web-ecosystem driven data technologies are rising.

Lastly, use of Artificial Intelligence for simplifying human works like image/speech pattern recognition, or decision making is on the table. AI’s impact is visible in forms of navigation applications, streaming services, smartphone personal assistants, ride-sharing applications, or even personal assistants at homes. In future, AI might not replace human workforce, but might help to solve complicated problems.
