NEW YORK, NY: NOMi, a provider of in-store marketing and analytics solutions has announced the launch of Brickstream 3D LIVE sensor –a smart device which blends together behavior, security and proximity analytics in a single platform. The launch comes in the back of Brickstream’s acquisition of NOMi.

This latest move integrates NOMi’s 3D stereo technology with a high resolution video camera, and helps businesses by eliminating the need for deployment of separate technologies for peoplecounting, queue and behavior analysis, security and loss prevention.

The security camera system comes with a 360 degree hemispheric lens, 5 megapixel color image sensor and image de-warping. It supports dual 15 frames per second (fps) H.264 video streamings at different resolutions and Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) compliance allows interfacing to existing Video Management Systems (VMS).

The smart sensor makes use of stereo vision analytics and enables the user to measure people’s behavior by accurate counting of entries and exits, and its ability to distinguish between people and carts. It simplifies the job of keeping the store space secure by notifying the security teams through high definition video streams.

Complementing the above mentioned analytics features; it facilitates the collection of proximity data provided by visitors by detecting visitor’s Smartphone Wi-Fi- or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) signal such as iBeacon. This can provide additional analytics by tracking; multiple store visits, time-in-store, product display dwell time and conversions at product displays.

"Many organizations are currently using older analog based devices with limited functionality. Companies who have evaluated Brickstream 3D LIVE are excited about having an IP-based analytics sensor that includes high-resolution video capture and accepts third party USB peripherals," says Yamini Kagal, Director of Product Management at NOMi.
