Multix has been called ‘India's first personal utility vehicle’ and is being rolled out by Eicher Polaris Pvt. Ltd. For its efficient distribution and sales across India, as well as for improving internal collaboration across departments and dealer networks, the company has tied up with Excellon Dealer Management Software.

In the fiercely competitive Indian automobile segment, customer experience is a key driving factor to retain the existing ones and reach out to the new ones. With Multix looking to expand its market reach across India through mid-2017, Excellon Software helped fulfil the need for a robust DMS to facilitate an internal collaboration with custom workflows and analytics.

“Today, the challenge for a progressive automotive business is to continue evolving with customer expectations while keeping costs optimized. As consumer profiles evolve overtime, companies must build and sustain visible brands. Additionally, companies must also embrace the challenge of building an ecosystem for sustained growth in the medium to long term. Often these challenges can appear to be contradictory and therefore require a holistic and end-to-end solution,” says Vishnu Tambi, CEO, Excellon Software.

As part of the deployment for Multix, Excellon Software focused on providing a tailor-made solution for Sale, Service and Support consistent with Multix’s benchmark for customer centricity and improved process efficiency. Modules in Excellon 5 (Dealer Management Software) were customised to suit Multix’s operational and organizational needs and functionalities were developed to support business processes unique to Multix. This helped Multix create a scalable decision, support and relationship management system to automate key business processes between existing dealers and their customers and potential dealers as well.

The scope of deployment covered key activities like sale and purchase of primary and secondary products and their business life-cycles and accounting systems management. Excellon’s business reputation and extensive experience in complex business process integration went a long way towards achieving benchmarks set for mission-critical processes.

Reports and Analytics gained through Excellon 5 DMS has enabled key stakeholders at Multix to make informed and intelligent business decisions. Ready to consume and easy to understand comprehensive reports with the right information have helped identify potential markets in the region.

Excellon’s extensive industry experience in developing transformation solutions for the automotive industry, along with a collaborative and consultative approach, helped Multix’s key stakeholders to work closely. This collaboration ensured that the solution conceived met the business needs across departments and eventually served the broader business goals of the organisation.

“Excellon 5 Dealer Management Solution provided the perfect platform for us to meet our current business challenges at Multix. The DMS integrates perfectly well with SAP and is helping us deliver an improved end-user experience” says Sandeep Kumar, Head of IT- EPPL.

A thorough understanding of Multix’s unique service delivery model and needs enabled Excellon to personalize the features and processes. Personalized workflows for inventory management, dealer based requirement, custom business reports and analytics were the focal points of the customisation process.

Overall, Multix benefitted by getting consolidated business data and reports in a more transparent, uniform and standardized format, making it easy to understand and analyze for speedy decision making processes. Multix, being an agile and forward-looking organization, has put in place a workflow for long term, sustained growth with the help of Excellon DMS. Excellon DMS has helped set the core processes in order and provide a robust platform for Multix’s growth plans.
