HCL Technologies has signed multi-million-dollar deal with UD Trucks to accelerate the digital transformationHCL Technologies NSE 0.88 % Ltd. has signed a multi-million-dollar deal with UD Trucks Corp. to accelerate the digital transformation of the Japanese commercial vehicle solutions provider.

Under  this contract, the Indian IT services firm will deliver end-to-end IT transformation - spanning digital platforms, agile digital application development, migration, support and maintenance and digital workplace services  for UD Trucks.

The financial terms of the contract were not revealed.

“Migrating infrastructure and business-critical applications is of strategic importance to UD Trucks in our accelerated digitalisation journey,” stated Satish Rajkumar, senior vice president (digital solutions and IT) at UD Trucks.

Recent alterations in its operational structure have required UD Trucks to construct and migrate to its own dedicated IT environment, while at the same time ensuring service continuity.

“As automotive brands look to accelerate their digital transformation and embrace the cloud, they need a partner like HCL to successfully navigate the complexity of IT ecosystems and have a digital foundation ready for the future,” stated Pankaj Tagra, corporate vice president and head-Nordic & DACH at HCL Technologies.
