Supported by Aarav Solutions, which is a pioneer in the global product engineering and IT consulting services space, Jadishwar Charitable Trust launched ‘Sanvid’, an EdTech initiative. It is aimed at providing equal learning opportunities in computer education, digital technology, life skills, language skills and personality development for school students in the rural parts of India.

From Maharana Pratap High School, Jangral, District Patan Gujarat, the programme will commence. It is the first Sanvid Champion School in Gujarat which intends in bridging the gap between the youth and the mainstream digital world. The major focus will be bestowed upon empowerment of students and equipping them with computer based education.

Sanvid is a term in Sanskrit which depicts knowledge. It is an initiative curated with the purpose of development of the edtech programme which is spread vastly in the Indian education system. The programme focuses on nurturing young talent.

The logo of the programme is influenced by the Saraswati Yantra, a medium through which Saraswati, the Goddess of Wisdom and Knowledge blesses us with education. This programme is designed for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels and does not consider grades at the starting point. It will be extending the learning arms to teachers who wish to teach and learn the computer programmes. The modules and courses being planner will be certified and there is scholarship scope for outstanding students who wish to continue their education further in information technology and computer engineering.

With digital education being tributary of development in the modern urban culture, it is now flowing to the rural Indian parts, where the rural schools are required to be equivalently competent according to the urban development for every student to get equal opportunity at the global corporate culture.

Presently, there is extreme requirement of at least basic level of computer education and knowledge of information technology in these schools. There is also emergency requirement for teachers training programmes.

Apart from educational point of view, infrastructure and accessible internet connection are the primary requisites in these schools.

And Sanvid offers the students a unique opportunity for getting access to devices and experience technology firsthand. Accounting the COVID-19 situation, the students will be given access to the devices and internet services.

Sanvid will also offer an educational outer structure with life skills like spoken English, humanities, growth mindset, financial management, and career counselling, which are extremely essential for career growth.

Experienced experts like technocrats, academicians, and project managers will be included to the youth minds training programme.

The education programme will emphasize on the youth performing ahead of the competitive level in the sectors of information technology and will keep check on the betterment of their future.

Sanvid will start from Maharana Pratap High School in Jangral, Patan and increase in presence in the champion schools in Patan. It is a step of community development and creating learners and teachers who are solely responsible of sharing knowledge, from where anyone could (from parents to students) learn.

The founder and CEO of Aarav Solutions and the Founder Trustee of Sanvid, Raj Darji, said,  “We are making an active choice to be the catalyst of change to more than a million lives starting today. The Sanvid initiative is a much needed and cost-efficient step towards connecting young students in rural and semi-urban regions of India to the wide world of information technology and digital through customised computer education. I am happy to launch the same in my home state of Gujarat. This will also enable schools to become Smart Schools in the truest sense. Already the way of learning and education is moving digital and online, and Sanvid will use this transition further to make rural students embrace and understand IT education better.’’

“When I started living in the USA, I witnessed a phenomenal difference in the kind of educational resources available to children in the US, as compared to our schools back in India. This prompted us to come up with a solution. A program like Sanvid will not only provide an equal opportunity for these students but also benefit the society as a whole. With this program, the students will be confident and capable enough to navigate computers and their applications. As we have celebrated the 72nd Republic Day just two days ago, we would like to make a commitment of taking the Sanvid program to at least 72 rural schools across Gujarat in the next seven years,” added Raj.

Raj concluded saying, “Sanvid Champions are our partner schools, who are truly upholding the movement of Sanvid. In India, there are thousands of schools that make efforts to provide high-quality education to their students in spite of constraints. Sanvid partners with such schools to empower them with the knowledge, framework and practical approach towards information technology education. It will also enable these partner schools to transform into well-equipped digital classrooms. The Sanvid program by Aarav Solutions at the Maharana Pratap High School in Jangral will set up the infrastructure, train the staff for coordination and manage the physical lab, and run the program for the students. A certification course for teachers will be provided for effective transition.”
