AI-Powered Control Tower - The Next-Gen Of Dogotal Logostics

Control tower for fleet has been the most demanding capabilities by Fleet Owners and Consignors both. Over the period, significant investments have been made in hardware capability and Fleet Management Software, however not much attention has been given to upgrade and improve the Control Tower capabilities.

Indian market which has specifically been slow in the adoption of digital is now showing great momentum in embracing and upgrading digital capabilities for the logistics movement.

One such company, Axestrack has been making fleet operations more seamless every day via bringing in more features to their Digital Logistics Platform. For instance, Control Tower has been upgraded with AI (Artificial Intelligence) capabilities to address the inefficiencies posed by the single tracking mechanism i.e. GPS/Telematics for vehicles en-route and improve tracking accuracy levels to 99%. Thus, increasing end-to-end visibility, responsiveness, and intelligence.

The AI-powered Control Tower now has a special module – “Traffic Management” which empowers control tower operatives to make informed decisions based on AI-driven suggestions by the system. Using the data science and large data sets of roads, dhabas, fuel stations, police stations, emergency services, and historical data of truck movements/stoppages across India, the AI module now can “predict” and “suggest” whether the unidentified location is an “unloading/loading” point.

Similarly, it can also predict and suggest the potential “stoppage” points and potential areas where market fleet trucks would be taking “loads” based on data science.

Further, a review mechanism also helps the control tower operatives to take advice from the supervisor to close the decision making. Governance and escalation mechanisms have been developed to monitor the overall performance of the fleet, thus bringing the efficiency greater than 90%. Such capabilities have helped customers to address unforeseen situations that can jeopardize the fleet and in turn, the company’s reputation.

Take the case of “GPS Distance Based Billings” – initiatives by some Cement customers to manage freight costs. As a first step – the focus was towards improving geo-fence destination hits and reduce “near-by” deviations. With AI managed services implementation the geo-fence hit improvement went up by 100%. Lead distance verification & correction, by Axestrack, led to significant addition in business value and confidence with customer.

The AI-powered Control Tower’s mantra is simple - “remove guesswork, significantly improve fleet visibility, and achieve operational excellence”, as stated by Rahul Yadav-Founder & Executive Director, Axestrack.

Another powerful feature is compliance against ETA predictability. An ETA is dependent on vehicle type, speed, load, road elevations, and many other influencing factors. The AI enables control tower executives to take a better vantage point on the monitoring and trigger interactions directly with the driver to understand the exact scenario affecting the delay.

Given the criticality of the operation, the platform provides great levels of automation to improve the productivity of control tower executives. Control Tower is becoming a necessity and imbibing it with modern technologies like AI takes the capabilities to the next level. Axestrack is based out of Jaipur and pioneered the Indian Transportation industry’s Digital Logistics Platform.

With over 1,10,000+ commercial vehicles and with presence in more than 100+ cities, this company has come a long way from just being a Telematics Solution Provider to creating one of Industry’s most trusted ‘Digital Logistics Platform’ for Enterprises.
