FREMONT, CA: AeroDef Manufacturing Summit and Exposition, the one of its kind event dedicated to the aero space and defence manufacturing will take place from Feb 25-27, 2014 at the Long beach Convention Centre, Calif. The affair will see around 60 presentations on a myriad of topics. The four broad classifications of the presentations are Composites, Metals and Advanced Materials, Digital and Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing, Integrated Assembly and Robotics and Precision Machining and Tooling, announced the Society for Manufacturing Engineers. The attempt to encourage innovation in bringing about cost efficiency, accelerate production and maintain manufacturing competency will see the most distinguished personalities from business and governments sharing their knowledge and expertise. It will also include matters regarding the public policy to transform manufacturing and technological details. “AeroDef is a great source for manufacturing professionals who want to see real-world application of technologies that can be used to improve the efficiency of their own manufacturing operations,” said Don A. Kinard, PhD., Senior Technical Fellow, Deputy, F-35 Fighter Production System, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. Expo will have Gerould Young, Director, Materials and Manufacturing Technology, Boeing Research and Technology, as the exclusive keynote speaker, speaking on “The Lure of New Materials and the Corresponding Reality of Manufacturing at Rate and Cost.” The interactive sessions in this summit will see knowledge exchange between speakers, presenters and exhibitors making it one of the most awaited programmes for the year.
