itinfrastructureEnterprises are battling against the pandemic created challenges, for executing the remote workforce successfully, granting secure devices and collaborative solutions, increasing maximum productivity, IT spending for enabling work-from-home (WFH) infrastructure, as predicted, will touch 19 percent in 2021, increasing by 27 percent.

The challenges for enterprises in the WFH include: Security Concerns, production losses, team management, and the requirement for a greater number of devices (according to CyberMedia Research).

During the pandemic, Indian enterprises are being channeled against their current spending for IT with the enablement of WFH, which indicates a further increase in the following year.

The maximum increase in spending on the collaboration of education and healthcare verticals will be witnessed, according to the findings.

Anil Chopra, VP-Research and Consulting, CyberMedia Research (CMR), said, "Every organization must learn to adapt to the new normal and explore the right collaboration tools that drive efficiency, enable seamless communication, and are secure and reliable at the same time.”

Lack of knowledge regarding a co-worker’s whereabouts and availability, a disconnection between business process and communication applications, and business losses because of reaching inability are on the first try.

Enterprises are looking to build agility for resolving them in this new work-from-home environment.

Thomas George, President, CMR, said, "Most of the organizations are looking for accelerated adoption of digital solutions during their process of recovering and reimagining the business and its operations. However, this may vary, depending on the sector, but the reality is that there will be the adoption of digital solutions that can reduce operational costs during the next normal. The sectors for critical products, such as pharmaceuticals are localizing their supply chains and creating stronger collaborative relationships with critical suppliers by building their digital capabilities."

As per reports suggest, enterprises will become more enthralled to spending on enablement of project task management and coordination, which includes employee time trackers, project management systems, file sharing and management technologies.
