Here's what i think. 2020 has been fairly, and to be honest, about style. The presentation! 2021 will be different. Several survey reports suggest, content will be the King in 2021. Talkwalker and HubSpot have jointly released a report titled `Social Media Trends 2021'. Stating how Covid-19 acted as a catalyst instead of an outcome, the report said that the mentions of the virus increased from nearly zero to around 1.2 billion in today's time, which has in turn expedited issues, ideas and innovations for brands which may not have happened so soon had it not been for the crisis. A highlighted trend is that the socially conscious Gen Z (and the future Generation Alpha) had an impact on politics, education, mental health, finance etc. These are proliferant conversations on social media and are critical to this generation.New payment models, subscription based services, brands and social issues, voice search, all have conisderabnly changed the course of brand to consumer route. 2021 is shaping up to be a remarkable year for the retail and marketing industry.
