The growth rate is set to reach new peaks in 2017 as CIOs break through doubts about the cloud and embrace it. Perhaps the biggest noticeable change is that big enterprises are now going to adapt to the cloud on a large scale basis. Not only for their secondary processes, but complex applications with large data centers and high stake projects, are expected to be run on the cloud as its central medium. The ability to keep a close watch on cloud deployment costs alongside the capacity to scale effectively and in a short amount of time is poised to give more power to the CIO, Specifically, cloud analytics solutions that support usage data as well as billing data will give IT heads the power to quickly spot expensive services and keep the budget in control. All of this can be accomplished with Blackberrys' in the middle of important meetings. Along with real time analytics at the push of a button, self service cloud analytics and data preparation has now become a reality. The simplicity of moving to cloud is only getting better as bandwidths increase and complexities decrease. The move from long procedures to simple drag and drop methods of moving to the cloud are well on their way. However many Indian CIOs are still skeptical about moving entirely to the cloud, hence cloud strategies, especially hovering around simplifying the hybrid cloud, have enjoyed extra attention with cloud scientists. Knowing that an all in solution is not possible in the cloud, many CIOs prefer to be grounded with on premise datacenters when it comes to legacy solutions, compliance regulations and other important procedures. Even established vendors are now on the opinion that going all into the cloud might be as beneficial as compared to a diversified strategy and have started to build strategies around better hybrid deployments. This has given hope for the smaller players in the cloud circle and will catch the attention of SMEs looking to make the big leap. Do let us know what you think.
