A trend that seems to be on the fore is data land grabbing. Big cloud service providers are working day in and out to rake in the big companies and their sensitive data onto their cloud silos, this is due to the fact that , given the sensitivity of the data, enterprises are showing a huge trend towards sticking to a singular cloud service provider for a long time. As the saying goes, data is to companies as what oil is to countries, and the cloud service provider who can store the better data has a better chance of survival in the long term. Once after moving to the cloud, the clients can even look to move their IOT assets and social media metrics, with the simple goal of getting actionable insights from the data generated within the offices. Having moved away of being a startup friendly phenomenon, enterprises are transferring their data to private and public clouds by the terabytes. In a bid to increase technological footprints by improving the quality of in store customer services to leverage the latest trends in manufacturing, SME's and big time enterprises are transitioning every silo of data into the cloud ecosystems. Even traditional companies that never saw a necessity to utilize the cloud are moving at a faster adoption rate than other traditional industries. In a bid to cut down costs and ultimately reduce risk as CIOs contemplate the best way to make the move. One of the prime luring mechanisms of cloud technology strategies is efficiently utilizing available resources and providing a good method of reduction of costs. Cloud vendors should be able to allow digging into both usage data and billing data to give IT leaders the power to quickly spot solutions that can stretch budgets dry.
