By

Founded in 2012, Bangalore based Intellileap Solutions, is a software product company that specializes in providing ISVs & OEM Users in enterprises and provides BPM solutions.

Business Process Management Solutions (BPMS) is a systematic and 'holistic management' approach to make an organization's workflow effective and efficient endeavoring for innovation, agility, and integration through advancements in technology. Ideally BPMS sees processes as strategic assets of an organization that must be understood, managed, and improvised to deliver value-added products and quality services to its clientele.
Moreover, this is an approach that can be supported or enabled through technological advancement to ensure the viability of the managerial approach in times of stress and change. The versatility of BPMS is such that it can be applied across functions and industries, it is one of the most critical factors that can make or break an organization's growth map. Realizing this, organizations are developing solutions for this market and a new industry segment is fast emerging called 'Business Process Management Solutions' (BPMS)

BPMS for Enterprise

As organizations evolve existing systems which encompass legacy systems may become ineffective and inefficient. But they remain so deeply embedded in the operations of an organization that they become indispensable, often misaligned with the needs of the business, expensive to support and difficult to change. Today's constantly changing and challenging business environment demands not just leveraging existing systems and technology, but also the ability to adapt and change business processes quickly in response. Not to mention the ability to do this process transformation in a seamless manner without any impact to business.
Typical BPMS addresses these effectively and efficiently by creating a wrapper around existing systems (ERP, CRM, HRMS, and legacy, orchestrating the process execution and providing the much needed KPI's for scaling organizations to the next level.

BPMS on the Cloud

The combination of BPMS and cloud deployment models like SaaS, IaaS or PaaS is referred to as Business-Process-as-a-Service (BPaaS). "The Evolution of Cloud Computing Markets" report by Forrester Research suggests that BPaaS should be seen as a fourth cloud computing service model, with a level of abstraction that is higher than that of SaaS. Organizations can initiate hybrid approach to balance their operations well to make a smooth transition to comprehensive cloud architecture as they gain control and confidence.
The BPaaS and Cloud BPMS would certainly enhance process agility and moderate the cost. As the model matures by addressing challenges like security and compliances, more and more organizations would realize its potential and implement it to obtain business advantages.
Back in 2011, Jim Sinur from Gartner predicted that BPMS and the Cloud would be the "real thunder." He stated that moving operations to the cloud would free up money and efforts for businesses, and those organizations would be remiss to ignore BPMS.
According to a report from Research and Markets, the global BPaaS and Cloud BPM solutions market is expected to grow at a compound annual rate of 45.55 percent, revenues will rise from $1.09 billion to $7.12 billion between 2013 and 2018.

BPMS on Mobility

A dramatic increase in mobile market and well-connected networks has changed the way people think about their work and information as workplace is now no longer limited to a single geographic location. Mobile BPMS elevates organization's values and customer's experiences to the new levels by allowing users to engage customers, partners and employees regardless of their location.
Mobile BPMS makes work simpler and adds value to functional responsibility. In today's business environment mobile workforce is inevitable, but this must not impact the work and business growth. Using a Mobile BPMS suite would certainly reduce operational cost, enhance customer experiences, open up new business avenues, enhance resource utilization, boost innovation and workforce morale.
