Recall: Providing Data Archival and Auditing Service for Business Enhancement

Leveraging RFID for Audit
To manage, track and audit media assets, Recall optimize Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to accelerate the auditing process.“Also, we were the first in the industry to introduce RFID technology for tracking and managing media assets within our facilities,” says Vipin. Recall’s RFID technology provides information management of inventory audits and reports within hours.“Further enhancements with RFID has enabled Recall to offer full Chain of Custody (CoC) by scanning assets through closed containers upon collection and delivery to verify the correct assets in the containers,” explains Vipin.

Secured Tape storage
Recall provides access to a web portal- ReQuest, for managing the data stored in tapes with customized dashboards for different verticals. Off-site data storage vaults in different geographical locations are available; that handle heterogeneous digital information such as legal documents, Videos, Architectural Drawings, Patented Drafts, Historical artifacts and among others on magnetic tapes. “Recall collects the tape as frequently as daily from the customer premises and can deliver them back in couple of hours for the purpose of restoration,” adds Vipin. Additionally, electronic media destruction service is also provided based on customer’s demand. Along with tape vaulting solution, Recall also offers cloud-direct and cloud-connected backup services using EVault, a Seagate product.

Requisite in future
Following the rapid surge of data across government and non-government organizations, Recall is ready to assist various industries with its holistic information management services. In near future, Recall would unveil its information governance product ‘CommandIG’. It would provide customers with consistent policy management, information governance and sharing and collaboration across all physical and digital holdings.
