Technological advancements have aided the rise of a new set of digital users, who demand real-time access to high amounts of content every day.

We provide digital content services that enable businesses (media, publishing, media monitoring, libraries and enterprises) to respond quickly to the changing expectations of their digital audience and grow revenue across channels. Our unique portfolio of services comprises content digitization, conversion, media clipping, image matching, indexing, digital distribution and mobile publishing.

Ninestars launched App9 digital studio in 2011 to help media build, operate and manage (B.O.M.) their app. The B.O.M. model is based on revenue share and joint digital marketing efforts, a unique feature to Ninestars.

• Assisting The New York Times (through ProQuest) on their digital journey by digitizing their back collection of over a million pages, since 2001
• Aiding The Hindu on their digital journey since 2003; hardcopy to PDF conversion of historical pages; enabled ePaper through our partnership with IBM; developed an iOS app, involving complete redesign of the newspaper to suit multi-device and cross-platform requirements.

How is Ninestars leveraging cloud to digitize content for its customers? How does ‘Clips on Cloud’ automate the process?
The biggest challenge in large scale digitization is the access to the source and the security of content. Our flagship platform “Clips on Cloud” enables transformation by leveraging a lot of the on demand infrastructure available today from cloud infrastructure service providers. The interfaces built on the solution allow the major non-automated processes to be done in offshore facilities without moving content around. The automation and delivery is provided from the cloud infrastructure while unlimited scale is available on demand. Besides preservation of intellectual heritage, the solution enables access of content to patrons across geographies.

Another key aspect is that Ninestars’ ‘Clips on Cloud’ tool clips content in near real-time to enable Media Monitoring Agencies provide access to content anyplace- anytime. Our SAAS platform helps monitoring agencies achieve global scale, quality and cost efficiency.

How do you help your customers strategize and leverage beyond digitization?
Once content is digitized, there is a whole gamut of ideas that can leverage it. Digital content needs to be tagged, cleaned and made bite sized, for delivery on new channels of distribution and consumption.

Ninestars works with customers to package their digital collections into downloadable files on applications on their mobile devices. Content is also provided to aggregators to enable research and delivered on websites with true to print formats. Additionally, Ninestars now takes part aggressively in marketing content for customers.

Ninestars has the global digital rights to distribute content for A.C.K. We developed an app for online distribution across platforms and have digitally re-mastered 300+ comics.
