Mobility- Move from a Tactical to a Strategic Approach

By

While interviewing established mobility vendors and close to forty CIOs’ for this issue, a prominent trend was noticeable as to why enterprises still fear mobility even though it has been around for a few years now. Apart from the usual obstacles such as data breaches, regulatory compliances and integration issues, to name a few, taking a bird’s eye view on the scenario reveals that most IT teams tend to take a tactical approach , versus a strategic approach to counter this unknown space.
Though many case studies on mobility are fast emerging, research shows that close to 50 per cent of the enterprises have not defined a clear mobility strategy of any form. It is a known fact that every CIO today has already started working on strengthening or conceptualizing a better mobility strategy through testing the current mobile experience of the brand in question, deploying analytics and through competitor & customer analysis.

Recognizing this situation, we bring to you this month the 20 most promising Enterprise Mobility providers in the country. Having been closely scrutinized by a distinct panel of judges including CEOs from public companies, CIOs, CXO, analysts, business leaders, and our own CIO Review editorial board, these companies were chosen clearly on their ability to see the bigger picture and help enterprises deploy an efficient mobility strategy.

Through the cover story, we highlight Mastek and how they are leveraging over 30 years of experience to today provide a unified customer experience in mobility. We have also showcased e-Zest, Bahwan CyberTek as the companies of the month under Mobility and Services respectively in recognition of their innovative practices in their fields. Claylogix caught our eye as a startup that is different from the rest. The hallmark of all of these featured organizations is an unwavering passion to solve complex issues faced by CIOs and long-term commitment to their customers. We wish them good luck and a successful journey ahead.
