Mirox Cyber Security: Protecting Enterprise Information and IT Assets from Sophisticated Threats

By

In 2008, Russian Hackers defaced Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline data servers, causing a mysterious explosion on the pipeline. The intruders injected malicious software into the pipeline’s control network and tampered the system to cause an explosion that sent flames 150 ft into the air. This infamous incident in 2008 has become one of the earliest and costliest examples of cyber attacks used to destroy critical infrastructure. After observing such losses and hiccups due to lack of security protocols and policies, experts in the industry started waking up to the importance of Security Policy and Business Continuity Planning and Enforcement, Data Protection, End User Training, and Risk Assessment & Security Audits. But, the absence of adroit cyber security solutions providers who have a good handle on cyber landscape and high risks nips every organization today. Sensing the void in the security space, Mirox Cyber Security & Technology was incepted in 2009 by Rajesh Babu, CEO and MD at Mirox. Rajesh says, “Most of the enterprise do not consider security as a top priority and this is due to the lack of awareness and understanding on attack consequence. Responding to such quandaries, Mirox emphasizes on management and operations-controlled security to identify assets, analyze threats and define acceptable levels of risks. The company has rendered its experience of providing customized security solution and service to bring in the amalgamation of confidentiality, integrity, availability, non-repudiation, reliability, access control and authentication.
Many organizations are likely to be subjected to an increased number of targeted attacks from sophisticated cyber criminals and hence it is imperative for them to contrive strategies that can protect enterprise information and IT assets and initiate low cost secured operations. Mirox being an exuberant cyber security provider rolls out two agile approaches to help enterprises enforce better cyber security practices. Mirox takes care of organizations’ data and proffers greater visibility over IT infrastructure by bringing out new advanced both Manual & Automated detection and remediation with combined options in terms of security solution and service. “Adopting such an approach minimizes the likelihood of pervasive incidents and allows firms to contain and respond to any action or events earlier and quicker, thus providing secured operational efficiencies, and accelerated ROI”, explains Rajesh.
Mirox has successfully built and developed India’s first cyber security vulnerability assessment and penetration testing center named “CSAC”- Cyber Security Assessment Center through the support from DST- Department of Science & Technology ( Govt) & T-TBI Technopark Technology Business Incubation Center ( Govt). This project has been entrenched with an aim to conduct regular security assessments and audits. Mirox is also into Research & Development of Cyber Security technology for protection of the Enterprise cyber infrastructure. Mirox R&D Center provides technical, management, and subject matter expert support for the wide range of research, development, testing, evaluation, and transition activities conducted through the Center. Under “HashCracker, is a tool developed by Mirox for security auditing purposes, targeted to recover original texts from the hash codes. It uses dictionary attacks to crack the MD4 MD5, SHA1,SHA2 NTLM(windows) Hashes”, adds Rajesh.
The company intends to introduce Advance Code Review Service, Electronic Security Assessment & Auditing and Cyber Electronic Security Solutions & Service and strengthen its existing position in the cyber security market in the coming years. With a vision to become a one stop Information & Physical Security Assurance and Solution Company, Mirox soon wants to capture the competitive markets of Australia, Middle East and Canada.
