Kruxonomy: Enabling Data Driven Decisions by Providing Tailored Analytics Solutions

By

Enterprises today possess mountains of valuable data in the form of customer information, their products and services, and market data. There is an increasing acknowledgment of the potential benefits of harnessing this data. However, businesses are still reluctant to adopt analytics as they do not know how to get started with it. Kruxonomy, headquartered in Bangalore leverages the data available with enterprises and external sources to provide useful insights for better decision makings.

The company has developed a solution called ‘Social Brand Affinity’ to provide a 360 degree persona of a brand’s loyal customers by mining social media data. “As we mine a large amount of conversation data, it helps us to identify what target campaigns or marketing strategies should be like,” says Bhasker Gupta. He is an alumnus of IIT and IIM and has over a decade of work experience in big data analytics in well-known financial and IT organizations. Prior to establishing Kruxonomy at Bangalore in 2015, Bhasker established Analytics India Magazine (AIM) to promote and discuss ideas on business analytics in India.

Bhasker believes that most CXOs are aware of the benefits of analytics, but still struggle to get started with it. According to him, customization in data science is better than plug-and-play standardized solutions, since a solution that worked for one company would probably not work for its competitor. This is where Kruxonomy’s competency lies in, i.e. tailored analytics solution for every customer. “Let’s say any company has a goal of rationalizing risk or reducing the cost. We assist them by identifying the right solution through customized analytics,” adds Bhasker. Kruxonomy performs Geospatial analysis to offer services such as location identification, advanced visualization, area growth identification and quantitative insights. It enables enterprises to administer metrics from various sources for denser view of their customers’ opinions. In addition to Geospatial analytics, Kruxonomy performs analysis of texts, which are in form of internal chats, e-mails, blogs and various articles. This text mining or parsing method helps its customers mine critical information from large free-flowing text and analyze data for insights.

Kruxonomy also provides consulting services which involve assessing analytics maturity of their clients or helping companies get started on the analytics journey. For analytics maturity assessment, Kruxonomy follows FIRE strategy, that is Focus, Integration, Rigor and Enablers. This strategy empowers customers to take a look at how analytics is being utilized within organization and what steps can be taken to take it to next level. “We always engage with our customers at a deeper level. On first meeting we hear and understand their needs. We then look at the data and provide relevant solution,” Bhasker explains. Kruxonomy is a niche player in the market doing cutting edge next generation work. Currently, this data science and technology consulting firm has customers across India and in near future it wants to provide more analytics services across developed markets.
