D-Cube Designs: End to End Design Solutions

By

A product does not stand the test of market only on the basis of its specifications. Along with features even the aesthetics of a product become a major contributing factor in its success. Understanding these factors, M. M. Shah founded D-Cube Designs in 2006. D-Cube provides a wide spectrum of design solutions which include research, conceptualisation, industrial engineering, electronics design solutions, product development, part engineering and design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, production and assembly services. The company has an inter-disciplinary team that strives to provide highly adaptable solution-centric services to client. The industrial design company guides the product development in achieving better aesthetics (how it looks, feels, smells and sounds), safety and comfort. “Our methods of research, creativity combined with our expertise in plastic part design and mold/die helps us to bring any idea into practicality,” says Shah who is also the CEO of the company.

Modus Operandi
“While designing a product we take care of ease of manufacturability, ease of assembly, maintenance, production, cost and time constraints. We also put in a great deal of thought and effort in getting the aesthetics of the product right,” says Shah about the process the company follows. D-Cube employs a simple yet a very effective approach in building their products. It starts with basic research about product, market, competitors and trends analysis. Based on the research, a list of constraints is prepared which act as a guideline for conceptualization and concept development. Also, a style board is developed, based on the research, which features the aesthetics of the product such as representation of shapes, patterns, colors, textures, ergonomics, etc.

With the above documents, the ideation process is carried out where the concept is explored even further. Then next step is the concept visualization where a 3-d model of the product is prepared with all the required features and aesthetics along with a brief manufacturing feasibility and user scenarios. The model is then tested, and based on the feedback and suggestions given by customers a new model is developed. This process is repeated until customers are satisfied with the final product. “Throughout the idealization and concept development cycle, we closely interact with various relevant department of our client to provide faster, simpler and feasible innovations,” explains Shah.

Winning over Clients
A company’s success is largely depended on its efficiency and D-Cube is committed to delivering projects on time. The company’s technical prowess coupled with its reputation of delivering quality work on schedule has won it a prestigious clientele including names such as AGAPPE, Wealth Taxi. Inc. USA, JASMIN Infotech, Aagnaa, Hunter Bat and several others. The company also assists its clients when they have specific deadlines to meet such as exhibitions, trade shows, seasonal launches etc. “Currently the company is focused on consumer electronics & electrical products and in the future we aim to continue with it and harbor innovation within the sector,” concludes Shah.
