Orbit Peripherals: Assisting to implement solutions of Cloud and Disaster Recovery back up

By

Data management and surging operational costs ultimately turn out to be a topmost concern for enterprises. Hence, heterogeneous industries shift their bulging data to Cloud or on-premise platforms. Factors such as volume of data, significant cost reduction and growing demand for storage virtualization are pushing the storage market to next level. With the surge of data, enterprises are driven to seek assistance of IT and deploy storage solutions. Following the ongoing demand for storage solutions, Delhi headquartered Orbit Peripherals is positioned in the market to assist companies during implementation and deployment of hardware, software and associated technical services in regards to storage solutions. “We are into system integration and we assist enterprises to implement various business related applications through partnership with VM Ware, Microsoft, HP and Cisco,” says Sushil Kumar Jain, CEO at Orbit Peripherals. Founded in 1993, the company has currently expanded its reach at Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, Noida, Gurgaon and Panjim along with an international office at Singapore. The Orbit Peripherals team understands specific business requirements and assists companies to articulate solutions through a unique design strategy, procurement and post sales implementation. “After the solutions are deployed we help clients to manage and support solutions in the future to ensure that end to end support is provided,” adds Sushil.

Data Backup Solutions on Cloud and on-premise
Orbit Peripherals provides hassle free solutions to migrate data from on-premise to the cloud by taking entire snapshot of the data centre wherein a copy of the data always remains with customers. The data is transferred as a block, rather than a particular file which ensures security to avoid any possible data loss. “When data is put in cloud if there is any loss of data or data is corrupted, then we always have a copy which we can implement again,” explains Sushil.
One of HP’s products being utilized by Orbit Peripherals is HP3 PAR StoreServ, which has thin de-duplication features to reduce data storage complexities. “We use this product for hosting most of the private and public cloud. HP3 PAR StoreServ requires less storage space and backup window goes smaller,” says Sushil. For Disaster Recovery backup, HP StoreOnce is utilized by Orbit Peripherals, wherein de-duplication of the data is done at different locations with reduced storage space.“If primary site fails and if clients want backup to be restored at the secondary site then data is readily available online and can be recovered in couple of minutes,” points out Sushil.

Vision of ‘Everything as a Service’
Sushil Kumar Jain believes that everything would be a service in future and industries will move towards a business model wherein they shall stop doing Capex procurement. “Orbit Peripherals aims to align its business with IT based OEMs who are coming up with solutions where everything can be delivered as a service to the customers,” explains Sushil. Besides aligning with OEMs, Orbit is also building proprietary solutions that are offered to customers on pay per user basis. Sushil anticipates that all verticals will move towards ‘Everything as a Service’ concept in future.
