Network Intelligence: Providing the Next level of Enterprise Security

By

Network security today plays an exigent role with evolving technological trends. The need of the hour is multiple layers of effective security controls that provide not only preventive security but also help detect and respond to attacks when they occur. Network intelligence, an IT security solutions provider headquartered in Mumbai, brings several unique state of the art products and services to its clients and tries to solve customer problems by offering the most effective customized security solutions for the enterprise.

While other security vendors' stop at the deployment of a solution, Network Intelligence focuses on fixing the underlying issues including those that require process and policy changes. For instance with application security, their team help secure applications by fixing bugs at the source code level, testing web applications, ensuring that security is embedded at each stage of the software development life cycle and ensure that each of the applications go live only after a comprehensive security assessment. A major differentiating factor can be pointed towards a state of the art research lab. Through the lab, the company conducts specific research projects by allowing the handpicked top performers the freedom to think out of the box and hence discover new threats and invent new solutions. "The organization calls this 'INR Labs' (Innovation and Research labs) where the team discovers new vulnerabilities and new malwares through the process of reverse engineering. We are able to track down the real root cause of the problem and fix them by running a threat and vulnerability unit which gathers malware and vigilantly monitoring the dark web, where a lot of potential attacks are possible" Says K K Mookhey, Founder & Director, Network Intelligence (I)Private Limited.

The leverage that Network Intelligence offers to its customers can be seen through how the company helped a non banking financial organization. With heavy dependence on vendors, application security bugs were taking too long to fix exposing the enterprise to serious risk. The Network Intelligence team started working by fixing the immediate set of problems and added an initial layer of security by implementing a web based firewall application. "Our goal here was to fix both short-term problems as well as to implement long term measures and address the issue comprehensively", points out Mookhey.

Moving forward, the organization looks to continue its track record of a minimum of 30 percent year on year growth since inception. Having already established a strong presence in India and Middle East; Network Intelligence plans to expand into North America and Europe with extensive focus on delivering state of the art security products and focusing on a new Security Operation Centre (SOC) in parallel.
